Four Scholars from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University Selected for Elsevier’s 2024 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” List
On March 25th,Elsevier released the 2024 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list. Four scholars from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University made the list.They are YANG Peizeng, Professor of Ophthalmology department, XIE Peng, Professor of Neurology department, REN Guosheng, Professor of Breast and Thyroid Surgery department and ZHENG Peng, Professor of Neurology department.
Elsevier’s “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list utilizes Scopus, the world’s leading citation and indexing database, to statistically evaluate the research output of Chinese scholars. This initiative aims not only to systematically showcase the distribution of research talent within China but also accurately map the strengths, academic influence, and leading researchers of various institutions and universities across key disciplines and critical technological domains.
Since the inaugural list in 2014, Professor YANG Peizeng has achieved this recognition for 11 consecutive years, and Professor XIE Peng for 6 consecutive years. Professors REN Guosheng and ZHENG Peng are new entrant this year. These accolades underscore the significant academic prowess and international influence of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University within their respective fields.
